For whom?
These theory and practical exams are for participants wanting to become a category B driving instructor. It's also called the basiscertificaat, which roughly translates as the primary certificate. That's because as a driving instructor, you need to get it first.

Phase 3: internship at a driving school | 40 hours in total - 5 hours passive and 35 hours active. This includes 1 hour of passive driving during an interim CBR test or practical exam a CBR examiner administers to the driving license student. |
Phase 3: internship assessment | 50-80 minutes in total. This is an active driving lesson for a student that is done after the internship. |

Phase 1a: theory exam
60 multiple-choice questions in total about traffic skills
It concerns traffic rules in general and 2 main subjects in particular:
4 main driving tasks:
Preparing & closing traffic participation and maneuvring
Flowing
Crossing
Lateral displacement
4 criteria:

Environment
Social driving behavior
Phase 1b: practical exam
A drive in a suitable vehicle that corresponds to the category. You'll have to arrange this vehicle for yourself. The exam includes performing some special maneuvers and explaining why you are doing something.
Phase 2a: theory exam
60 multiple-choice questions in total about lesson preparation, including:
Making a customized lesson program
Creating driving lessons
Organizing a lesson
Fase 2b: theory exam
60 multiple-choice questions in total about lesson execution & assessment, including:
Performing driving instruction
Coaching participants
Evaluating driving progress
Phase 3a: internship assessment
You need to follow a passive internship where you look along with another driving instructor. You also need to follow an active internship as a driving instructor while your internship supervisor acts as an observer. There is no set order in which to do these 2 internships.
To complete the program, you will undergo an internship assessment where 1 examiner sits in the same car as you and the student.
When do you pass the exam?
To pass the category B exam you must get at least the following scores:
