Step 2: Apply for the exam

Follow the instructions to apply for the CoC/VOG-verklaring and send it, together with a copy of your valid, assessed diploma or certificate to us.

Step 3: Take the exam

Got accepted? Congrats! Now you can plan the exam via Mijn IBKI.

What to bring

A valid EU ID. This can be a passport, driver's licence or ID-card from your country of origin. Depending on the exam, you may need to bring more more. Please read the exam description for more info.

What to do after you've passed?

You'll receive the certificate from IBKI and a PTI certification pass from RDW in a few working days. Don't forget to create a pincode via My RDW, without it, you can't start inspecting cars.

The certificate is valid for 2 years and allows you to work as a PTI in The Netherlands. After 2 years you need to renew the certificate by doing further training and a separate exam.
